Mayor Woodards called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.

election, at this time.

ACTION: Voice vote was taken and carried. The motion was declared

REPORTS BY THE CITY MANAGER  
City Manager Elizabeth Pauli reported that Foss Waterway development  
parcels 9 and 10 were sold in December 2024, and the properties are planned  
for development, noting the decades-long history of City staff and partners  
work on this area.  
COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS OF THE CITY COUNCIL  
Economic Development Committee  
Deputy Mayor Daniels, Chair of the Economic Development Committee,  
reported that the November 21, 2024, special meeting included Tacoma Arts  
Commission interviews; and the December 10, 2024, meeting included a  
workshop on the Economic Development Strategy Plan. She concluded by  
stating the next meeting will be held in a hybrid format on January 14, 2025,  
and will include proposed updates to Tacoma Creates.

Mayor Woodards wished everyone a Happy New Year, and reminded  
that City Clerk's Office is seeking volunteers to serve on committees to  
prepare statements “For” and “Against” City of Tacoma Proposition S2  
to fund street repair, maintenance, and safety improvements for streets,  
including pedestrian and bicycle improvements. Statements prepared by  
the “For” and “Against”committees will appear in the voters’ pamphlet for  
the April 22, 2025, Special Election. To be considered for appointment  
to either committee, submit a letter of interest by 3:00 p.m. on Friday,  
January 17, 2025, by email or by mail.
