A RESOLUTION relating to the Tacoma-Pierce County Board of Health;
3 appointing Anthony L-T. Chen, M.D., M.P.H., to serve as the Director of
Health of the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department.

5 WHEREAS Anthony L-T. Chen, M.D., M.P.H., has agreed to serve as
6 Director of Health of the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department, and
7 WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 70.08.010 through 70.08.040, the City
8 Council and the Pierce County Council must pass resolutions appointing a new
9 Director of Health; Now, Therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TACOMA:

12 That Anthony L-T. Chen, M.D., M.P.H., is hereby appointed Director of
13 Health of the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department, said appointment to
14 be effective October 20, 2008.
